About the Massed Bands Concert

Steeped in history the Massed Band concert has brought together three Brass Bands in North Devon for over 20 years. The tradition started back in the 80s when Appledore, Bideford and then the Hartland Brass Bands joined together once each year to perform a large concert. Later Torrington Silver Band took over from Hartland and the tradition continues.

The bands take it in turns to organise and host the event, planning the venue, date and sponsorship. 2020 will be the turn of Torrington to host the event. To ensure you have the latest news please subscribe to our mailing list
